KUALA LUMPUR, 29 October, 2015 – Mobile device has become an essential communication tool in everyday life. According to World Bank, Malaysia is leading Indonesia, Thailand and United States in terms of mobile penetration with 140%. This year, the Malaysian Mobile Content Providers Association (MMCP) and Elite Expo Sdn Bhd have jointly unleashed the genuine award, “Mobile Business Excellence Awards (MBEA) 2015” with mobile elites at Connexion @ Nexus, Bangsar South, on 22nd October 2015.
Today, the growth of mobile business industry in Malaysia is keen to move forward in a fast pace with the full support from government. Thus, MBEA served as a platform to unveil the hidden pioneers, leaders and market innovators who played important roles in mobile business industry. In addition, these industry players can showcase and acknowledge their best products, services and innovation development through this awards.

The prestigious MBEA 2015 is fully supported by Ministry of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia (KKMM), to acknowledge excellent achievements of individuals, entrepreneurs, SMEs and multinational entities. The panel of judges is formed by professionals from Communications and Multimedia Content Forum of Malaysia (CMCF), Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) and Microsoft Malaysia Sdn Bhd.
MBEA 2015 is segregated into 6 categories which are Mobile Content Providers, Telco, Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNO), Telecom Vendors, Mobile Applications and Special Achievement. There will be a total of 19 subcategories divided from 6 main categories accordingly based on each unique characteristics benchmark. Highlights of the night will be the special recognition to the Company of the Year, CEO of the Year and the most precious Lifetime Achievement Award.

Through MBEA, the current state of Malaysia mobile business industry is expected to be alleviated into another phase of glory. With the innovative and creative ideas of mobile elites in developing advance products or services, it will sure attract multitude of investment opportunities from venture capitalists and investors from local and international!

About Malaysian Mobile Content Providers Association (MMCP)

The Malaysian Mobile Content Providers Association (MMCP) was initiated back in 2006 as a platform for all Mobile Content Providers (CPs) to come together under one banner to better address issues raised and ensure the interest of CPs are protected. This includes active participations with the Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), the Consumer Forum of Malaysia (CFM), the Communications and Multimedia Content Forum Malaysia (CMCF), Celcos, the Malaysian government via Kementerian Penerangan, Komunikasi & Kebudayaan and other relevant bodies. The association was formalized in 17th August 2007 and currently has 25 ordinary members and 4 associate members. The Association was also established to streamline processes related to ‘Best Practise’ which is practised widespread by its members, as well as to protect CP and Consumers interest.
